At Dar Cherifa, a 16th century house with walls and wood anchored with the arabic calligraphic writings, you would discover the pleasure of learning some basic notions of this art by introducing the techniques of drawing Arabic letters.
 

Workshops, for 2 to 10 people, of 2 hours to 4 hours, are conducted by a famous calligrapher in Marrakech, a scholar of Arabic literature.
 

Around a cup of  tea, you get to familiarize with the tools: pen, anchor ... and you listen to the explanation about the writing techniques before beginning the practice.
You will not succeed your first letter nor  the second for that matter... but you'll end up drawing the word that comes from your heart.
